Structural Engineering
Construction Materials Testing (CMT)
Project Snapshot
As our company grows, so does the need for office space. When it came time to combine our locations in Fort Collins and Evans, Colorado, we reveled in the opportunity to create for ourselves an office that truly spoke to who we are and what we do. Our new location houses 7,000 square feet of office space and a 1,500 square foot soils and construction materials testing lab. The exposed floor trusses, beams, and columns highlight engineered components that are usually hidden behind drywall and paint. The stained concrete floors are beautiful and wear resistant. The testing lab can be seen through interior windows in offices and the second-floor lobby. RMG worked closely with the general contractor and landlord to provide a cost-effective design that provides for future growth. The structural engineers at RMG had to reconfigure the upper-level design several times as traditional building materials became unavailable or overly expensive due to nationwide shortages. None of this could have happened without the support of our Construction Materials Testing team, who made themselves available at a moment’s notice so as not to prolong the building schedule.
